Role Overview:
Reporting to the COO, the Project Accounting Manager will support SGA including multi-entity and multi-location support. This person will oversee the day-to-day accounting function including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive business accounting experience for a consultative service- based business operation or extensive experience with revenue recognition and work in progress accruals.

Job Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Management
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including invoicing, billing, collections, and financial reporting for multi-company clients and consultants.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient revenue cycle management.
- Monitor revenue cycle metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and take corrective action as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as project management, operations, and finance, to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- Stay up to date on changes in construction regulations and billing requirements that may affect the revenue cycle process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to revenue cycle management.
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders to facilitate the revenue cycle process.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes to ensure revenue cycle goals align with organizational objectives.
Other Accounting Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll allocations and accruals (including direct/indirect labor cost split)
- Preparation monthly financial statements for SGA and subsidiaries for review and conduct P&L and BS review as part of month end close.
- Work with leadership and advisory consultant team on EOM financial planning reporting, company books cleanup, EOM closeout, and quality control review.
- Support business operations monthly KPI metrics reporting, cash flow management analytics and short and long-term forecast modeling.
- Evaluation of inventory accounting for subsidiary and posting of correcting adjustments as required.
- Sales tax return preparation for subsidiary
- Tracking and posting of other intercompany items
- Calculation of intercompany allocations and posting of invoices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in accounting. It is desirable, but not necessary, for candidates to also hold a degree(s) in business administration, communications, mathematics, or related field.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiencies:
- English fluency (writing, speaking).
- High proficiency in Intuit Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
- General knowledge and demonstrated experience managing consultant service-based project management, accounting, CRM and billing/collections software platforms.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
