Mike has nearly 30 years of experience in multidisciplinary design across Hampton Roads, with work spanning public and private sectors and featured in some of coastal Virginia’s most prominent landmarks. Since joining SGA, he has expanded his practice into other states, focusing on site reclamation, revitalization, historic identity, and brownfield reuse, with an emphasis on coastal resilience.

A skilled communicator, Mike engages diverse audiences and uses hand sketching and digital painting to explore and convey design ideas. His work is site-driven, integrating sustainability, form, and function to create cohesive, high-performing places. He is also active in ASLA and a range of community initiatives.
