Sunnyside Neighborhood

SGA, Environmental Standards, and S2 worked for the City of Morgantown on their $200K U.S. EPA funded effort to assess and redevelop sites throughout the City. A major focus was the riverfront area called Sunnyside which was near WVU’s campus and was the focus on mixed-use residential development to serve faculty and staff of the University and research employers. SGA led a planning charrette, developed reuse scenarios, and modelled remediation and rehabilitation costs. Environmental Standards oversaw various aspects of assessment and remediation strategies and S2 has provided a strategy for obtaining funding to support site assembly and predevelopment activities.
