The image above is a view of the Coatesville Train Station, standing on the corners of N. 3rd Avenue and Fleetwood St. The station area in downtown, as well as former industrial areas along the nearby Brandywine Creek,  are the focus of the City of Coatesville’s current economic development initiatives

Stromberg/Garrigan & Associates conducted fieldwork recently in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, where the firm will be involved in redeveloping several underutilized and brownfield sites.

The multi-municipal project is being led by the Chester County Department of Planning and includes the City of Coatesville, the Borough of South Coatesville, and Valley Township. The Flats – shown below – is just one of the sites being considered and features a beautiful trail along Brandywine Creek, a major feature in the valley.

SGA looks forward to their work with the municipalities and intends to begin the design process soon.
