Principal Tim Stromberg and representatives of the SGA design team met with the Elizabeth River Project and Elizabeth River Trail last week to work on potential partnering strategies for this signature gateway to Harbor Park. 

The Elizabeth River Project (ERP) (link out to site: https://elizabethriver.org/) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the renewal and preservation of the Elizabeth River and its various branches, and have taken interest in working with the City of Norfolk and SGA to potentially incorporate education and conservation efforts into this restorative and transformational community gathering place. 

SGA hopes to work alongside multiple organizations and City departments to mobilize the design in 2020, with activity populating the underutilized waterfront lot by the end of the upcoming year. 

There are many processes to undertake to make this formal industrial waterfront a desirable public amenity. However, we look forward to working with the City of Norfolk and our potential partners to break ground on this exciting addition to Downtown Norfolk.
