SGA Continues Work at the Huntington ACF Site

by SGA in Brownfields

This rendering of the Foundry Center is a view of SGA’s proposed redevelopment of the former American Car and Foundry (ACF) rail car manufacturing plant in Huntington, West Virginia, taken from our Huntington U.S. EPA Brownfields Area-Wide Plan. As this project progress, SGA is leading further studies for the adaptive reuse of the ACF site and several of its structures, as well its Ohio Riverfront.

In addition, the pending construction of a new baseball stadium for Marshall University located adjacent to the site opens up even greater opportunities to foster economic development. SGA is revisiting some of the defining features in the earlier plan recommendations while focusing on efforts to realize first phase elements.
